20GW green hydrogen plant planned for Kazakhstan

Svevind Energy wants to develop a 20GW green hydrogen facility in the Mangystau region of Western Kazakhstan.

The renewable energy company on Wednesday (March 16) unveiled its ambitions, having inked an agreement with ILF to develop a concept study for the desired facility.

According to project plans, the 20GW water electrolysis complex will be powered by a 30GW wind and solar PV farm to produce two million tonnes of green hydrogen annually.
