2G Energy embarks on UK’s first Road to Net Zero Tour

2G Energy will support the UK’s ‘first’ Road to Net Zero Tour which will promote its hydrogen technology.

The tour, supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, will stop at All-Energy 2023 in Glasgow (May 10-11); Centrica, Windsor (May 17); Bohr Ltd, Stone (May 18); Stepan in Manchester (19 May); WB Power Services, Ilkeston (May 22); and UK Hydrogen Fuel Cell Association Annual Conference in London (May 24).

UK industries on the journey to low or zero carbon will be presented with 2G Energy’s 100% hydrogen-powered combined heat and power (CHP) engine, to show how the system works.

The company worked with Altrad Babcock to install the hydrogen CHP solution at Kirkwall Airport in the Orkney Islands and once fully commissioned, it will be integrated with the airport’s existing heating system. Altrad completed the acquisition of Doosan Babcock in September 2022.
