30MW Sunfire electrolyser destined for Uniper project

As part of its Bad Lauchstädt energy park green hydrogen project, Uniper has ordered a 30MW pressurised alkaline electrolyser from Sunfire.

At the project site, situated within the Central German Chemical Triangle, the Sunfire electrolyser will be powered by a nearby wind farm, with the second phase planing to see the hydrogen stored in salt caverns.

Furthering this, H2 View understands, the hydrogen produced from the site will then be fed into local chemical industries’ hydrogen networks via a repurposed pipeline.
