A 50MW hydrogen plant is set to be operational in Ireland before the end of 2023.
Believed to be the country’s first commercial scale hydrogen production facility, the plant will produce green hydrogen via electrolysis, powered by renewable energy.
Once operational, the facility will supply over 20 tonnes of green hydrogen daily to a diverse commercial market and will remove 63,000 tonnes of carbon emissions annually.
Taking such plans one step closer to realisation is engineering, procurement and construction services company Worley, which today (June 17) said it will support the development.
