64MW of McPhy electrolysers set for German installation

McPhy Energy has signed a contract to supply four electrolysers totalling 64MW to Berlin-based HMS Oil and Gas division to feed hydrogen into an existing pipeline.

Under the contract, the electrolysers will be installed at Radeland Compression station, Brandenberg, which connects to a pipe network running from the Baltic Sea to Southwest Germany.

Coming as part of the “Flow- making hydrogen happen” project, the installation of the electrolysers is hoped to aid the conversion of European gas grids to hydrogen.
