Abu Dhabi-based plant to produce sustainable aviation fuel from green hydrogen

Siemens Energy, TotalEnergies and Masdar want to develop a new demonstrator plant in Masdar City, Abu Dhabi to produce sustainable aviation fuel from green hydrogen.

Having today (Jan 19) inked a deal at during Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, the trio hopes their commitment will support the development of Abu Dhabi as a green hydrogen hub.

With the aviation industry being a big contributor to carbon emissions, the new deal is also set to highlight the role hydrogen could have when it comes to greener, cleaner flights.
