Adani announces hydrogen blending project in India

Indian company Adani Total Gas Ltd (ATGL) has announced intentions to develop a green hydrogen blending pilot project.

Announced during the build-up towards COP28 in the UAE, Adani has revealed it will employ the latest technologies to blend green hydrogen with natural gas for over 4,000 residential and commercial customers in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.

Expected to be commissioned by Q1 2024-25, the project will see green hydrogen gradually increased in the blend up to 8% or more, depending on regulatory approvals. Once the pilot project is completed, hydrogen blended fuel will be supplied to larger parts of the city and other license areas of AGTL.
