AFC Energy ties up five-year Air Products hydrogen supply for German generator testing site

UK-based AFC Energy has renewed a five-year hydrogen supply agreement for its site in Stade, Germany, with Air Products, to continue the development of its hydrogen-powered generators.

The site, originally constructed in 2015 by AFC Energy to house the EU co-funded Power-Up programme, will now provide factory acceptance testing (FAT) for its H-Power Generator series of fuel cell systems.

With a new lease for the site secured, it is expected to employ a small number of local staff for the system testing and diagnostics, the Stade facility is hoped to position the company to support its growing number of H-Power deployments in Europe.
