Agfa’s Belgian electrolyser membrane plant backed by €11m from Innovation Fund

Agfa has been awarded an €11m ($11.9m) grant from the EU Innovation Fund to build a hydrogen electrolyser membrane production plant to support 20GW of alkaline electrolysis per year.

Planned for Mortsel, Belgium, the plant will produce its Zirfon membranes which provide alkaline electrolyser with high efficiency and durability under fluctuating conditions from renewable energy sources.
