Agreement brings hydrogen closer to cleaning up refinery operations in Denmark

Plans for the second phase of a green hydrogen plant in Denmark have made progress with the signing of a long-term agreement between Everfuel and Crossbridge Energy, revealed on Monday (June 27).

The agreement outlines terms for hydrogen supply from the first stage of Everfuel’s HySynergy Phase II Power-to-X (PtX) facility in Frederica, Denmark, with the intention of cleaning up Crossbridge Energy’s refinery operations, making an important step towards scaling electrolyser capacity to 300MW,

Planned to be operational in 2025, the second phase of HySynergy is hoped to reduce 500,000 tonnes of carbon emissions from the mobility sector and industry, accounting for approximately 11% of the Denmark’s annual land-based transport sector’s emissions, H2 View understands.
