Agreement signed to see hydrogen tech delivered for former US uranium enrichment facility redevelopment

A $1.51bn redevelopment of a former uranium enrichment facility in Ohio, US, is expected to receive hydrogen technologies from Babcock & Wilcox (B&W) under a new agreement, revealed today (August 1).

B&W has signed a teaming agreement with Newpoint Gas, which will see it serve as a foundational technology partner, as well as provide advanced hydrogen generation, decarbonisation and combustion technologies to the ex US Department of Energy (DOE), Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant site.
