Air Products won’t FID $4bn Texan green hydrogen plant until 45V rules are finalised, says CEO

Air Products will not make a final investment decision (FID) on its planned $4bn green hydrogen plant in Texas until US subsidy rules are finalised, according to the company’s CEO.

In 2022, the industrial gas giant and AES Corporation announced plans for the 200-tonne-per-day green hydrogen plant in North Texas, with commercial operations set to begin in 2027.
