Aldbrough Hydrogen Storage holds public consultations

Aldbrough Hydrogen Storage – set to store the UK Humber region’s low carbon hydrogen – is holding public consultations this month.

The joint project between SSE Thermal and Equinor plans to construct a low-carbon hydrogen storage facility next to the existing Aldbrough Gas Storage site (pictured).

Consultation events will be held at East Village Meadows, Northfield Farm Garton on September 13 (2pm-7pm); Aldbrough Village Hall, Garton Road, Aldbrough, on September 14 (same timings); and Sproatley Village Hall, Park Road, Sproatley, September 15 (1pm-6pm). Consultations can also be held online anytime until September 29.

The public will be introduced to Aldbrough Hydrogen Storage Project, hear findings from the Environmental Impact Assessment Scoping Stage, be able to ask questions and receive feedback.
