Ames Goldsmith Ceimig: Focused on green energy

For Ames Goldsmith Ceimig, the proton exchange membrane (PEM) industry acts as a natural home for its range of products, and now stands as one of its focal markets.

With a number of its products currently being used by well-known fuel cell and electrolysers manufacturers, in both large- and small-scale applications, the company hopes its innovations will play a strong role in the world’s decarbonisation efforts.

A member of both the Scottish Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association (SHFCA) and UK Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association (UKHFCA) the Scotland-based company is currently working hard on its latest project, a new catalyst for fuel cells and electrolysers.

“Through 2020 we have formed a cross company team, pooling resources from several divisions, to focus on two projects. The first is a new range of supported platinum products using new deposition techniques and the latest supports,” Wayne Thornhill, Sales Manager for Ames Goldmith Ceimig, told H2 View in an exclusive interview.
