Australia backs Queensland hydrogen hub with AUD$70m

The Australian Government has committed AUD$70m ($46m) for a regional hydrogen hub in north Queensland.

The Townsville Region Hydrogen Hub is planned to initially produce 800 tonnes of green hydrogen per year, before ramping up to around 3,000 tonnes for domestic support and over 15,000 tonnes for export.

Led by Edify Energy, the project will produce green hydrogen for use by local industry and transportation.
