Australian Government supporting clean energy startups

The Australian Government is supporting the next generation of clean energy entrepreneurs to develop new ideas and technology for the sector’s future.

The government will provide $480,000 through the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) over the next 12 months to fund the start-up acceleration program EnergyLab Australia.

Minister for Energy and Emissions Reduction Angus Taylor said EnergyLab programs help entrepreneurs develop projects, test their commercial viability, and undertake capital raising activities to help launch a product into the market.

EnergyLab also provides mentoring, links to energy investors, and specific support for women entrepreneurs.
