AVIA’s first hydrogen station opens in Switzerland

European petrol station operator AVIA has opened its first ever hydrogen filling station in St. Gallen, Switzerland.

Now operational, the station is offering green hydrogen, at both 350 and 700 bar, produced from 100% renewable energy sources.

“Today there are new challenges. The AVIA Association is also concerned about climate change, because we too want to make our contribution to a climate-friendly environment,” said Patrick Staubli, Managing Director of the AVIA Association.

“As a founding member of the H2 Mobility Switzerland funding association, the AVIA Association is convinced that hydrogen will play an important role as an energy source for mobility in the future.”
