From April 17-18 2024, AVL will host its 10th High Power Systems Conference in Austria, at Helmut List Halle in Graz, dubbed Decarbonisation and Sustainability: A Paradigm shift.
The event will explore decarbonisation and sustainability and its impact on high power applications in the future.
“At this event, we’re not just discussing the future – we’re shaping it!”
The expert-led discussions will explore high efficiency systems and powertrains, energy lifecycle management, harnessing Power-to-X technologies, and embracing alternative fuels in reaching Net Zero.
KangKi Lee, Senior Vice President of High Power Systems, and Managing Director of AVL, said, “The utilisation of alternative fuels on the path to achieving Net Zero CO2 emissions and zero carbon fuels is a highly practical option that must be considered for specific applications.
“Energy life cycle management plays a pivotal role in the journey towards rendering shipping more ecologically friendly and sustainable. Foremost among our priorities is improving the efficiency of all systems and entire powertrains to the maximum extent possible.”
Claus Graugaard, Chief Technology Officer Onboard Vessel Solutions at Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Centre for Zero Carbon Shipping, will be the Keynote Speaker at the event.
There will be 20 international speakers, with representatives from HD Hyundai Heavy Industries; INNIO Jenbacher; Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Marine Machinery & Equipment; Accelera by Cummins; Robert Bosch, AVL; and many others.
The conference will hold more than 200 participants, who will be able to interact with R&D leaders from design, build, and user sectors in a lively panel discussion.
AVL hopes to achieve intensive expert exchange and leverage synergies across industries and pave the way for a sustainable future. The event will foster new business relationships and strengthen networking opportunities.
