Ballard Power Systems has appointed Jacqueline Dedo to its Board of Directors to utilise her expertise in the transport industry.

Dedo will bring previous experience in electrified propulsion in heavy-duty mobility and other capabilities related to strategy, innovation, technology and corporate governance.

She is the Co-Founder of Aware Mobility and currently part of the Board of Directors at Li-Cycle Holdings, Workhorse Group, Carbon Revolution and the Cadillac Products Automotive Company.

With over 40 years of experience and previous roles at Motorola and Robert Bosch, Jim Roche, Ballard’s Chair, claimed she will be “invaluable to Ballard,” as they continue focus on innovation, product cost reduction and business scaling.

“We strive to have a board that is comprised of highly qualified directors with diverse and complementary backgrounds, skillsets and experience, and who demonstrate integrity and suitability for overseeing management in the business and affairs of the company,” added Roche.

Commenting on her appointment, Dedo said, “I am delighted to join the Ballard Board of Directors as the company deploys hydrogen fuel cell engines to meet increasing adoption rates in heavy-duty mobility applications.”

Dedo will join up with Michael Chen and Yingbo Wang after they were both appointed to Ballard’s Board of Directors in January (2024).
