bp’s Teesside hydrogen projects receive Abu Dhabi aid

Announced today (May 24), bp is set to bring international participation to its blue and green hydrogen developments in Teesside in the North East of England.

The United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) largest energy company, ADNOC planned to take a 25% stake in the design of the blue hydrogen project, H2Teesside, making it the company’s first investment in the UK.

H2Teesside is hoped to kickstart the UK’s hydrogen economy at scale with two 500MW hydrogen production units by 2030.
