Bradford Council approves development plans for 12.5tpd hydrogen facility

Plans for a hydrogen production facility in West Yorkshire have been approved by the Bradford Council.

Being developed by Hygen and N-Gen, the Bradford Low Carbon Hydrogen (BLCH) plant is expected to be capable of producing 12.5 tonnes per day of hydrogen, enough to remove 800 diesel-fuelled buses a day from local roads.

Set to be developed on the old Birkshall gas storage site, the hydrogen will be distributed by Ryze to businesses and others in West Yorkshire wishing to use the planned refuelling facilities on-site.
