Bramble Energy CCO explains the challenges of hydrogen-powered narrowboat project

H2 View is on the ground at Hyvolution 2024 and caught up with Bramble Energy’s Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and Co-Founder, Dr Vidal Bharath.

Earlier this month (January), the company launched a hydrogen-electric boat, powered by a circuit board fuel cell (PCBFC™), in collaboration with Barrus.

The 57-foot narrowboat completed emission-free testing, using a custom marinized fuel cell system, which is expected to provide around 600 miles of range using 14kg of hydrogen stored on-board, with additional power supplied by solar panels on the vessels roof.
