Bureau Veritas has become the certification body for the CertifHy™ non-government hydrogen scheme which offers certified proof of origin for hydrogen throughout Europe.
Bureau Veritas performs around 300,000 audits each year, providing its clients with access to more than 7,400 experienced auditors and centralised support. With this new accreditation, its auditors can now also perform CertifHy™ audits of hydrogen production facilities to ensure that the energy produced meets the CertifHy™ NGC Scheme requirements.
CertifHy™ is currently developing an EU Voluntary Scheme for the certification of hydrogen as RFNBO (Renewable Fuel of Non-Biological Origin) according to the European Renewable Energy Directive.
