ZeroAvia’s ZA600 hydrogen-electric engines are set to power Surcar Airlines’ seaplane flights in the Canary Islands.
The hydrogen-powered flight innovator today (August 2) revealed it had signed an agreement with the airline to supply its fuel cell engines to enable green flights around the Canary Islands.
Surcar – a newly launched airline with backing from the likes of Nordic Seaplanes – plans to use Twin Otter seaplanes retrofitted with the ZA600 powertrain on sightseeing tours around the islands.
