Ceres, AtkinsRéalis to design blueprint for gigawatt-scale SOEC green hydrogen plants

Ceres and AtkinsRéalis plan to carry out front-end engineering design (FEED) for large-scale solid oxide electrolysis (SOEC) systems that could form the basis of gigawatt-scale plants.

Set to use Ceres’ solid oxide electrolysis (SOEC) technology, the collaboration plans to create the blueprint for a 100MW+ electrolyser system which could be used as the building block for gigawatt-scale plants.

Furthermore, the pair are working to “identify and maximise” opportunities to use Ceres’ technology in industrial applications.
