Ceres to implement hydrogen SOFC technology into British maritime projects

With hydrogen set to play a major role in decarbonising the UK, Ceres’ fuel cell technology will be implemented into two maritime projects under the Government’s Clean Maritime Demonstration Competition.

The first of these two projects will look to create a zero-carbon base load for large ships with a feasibility study set to explore if Ceres’ solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) technology can replace diesel generators for cruise ship hotel power in port.
