Swedish-based Metacon has signed an agreement to see a Chinese electrolyser manufacturer produce its hydrogen generation technology on license.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PERIC Hydrogen Technologies Co. sets out a manufacturing and sales agreement, giving PERIC the right to manufacture and sell Metacon’s reforming technology based HHG systems for the Chinese market.
Metacon’s HHG systems allow hydrogen to be produced form non-electric sources including biogas, ethanol and ammonia. In November 2022, the company signed an agreement with a German wastewater treatment plant to demonstrate the technology.
