Commercial batch of HIF Global hydrogen-based e-fuels en route to Porsche in the UK

The first commercial export of green hydrogen-based e-fuels produced by HIF Global in Chile is en route to the UK.

24,600 litres of synthetic gasoline produced at the Haru Oni demonstration plant left Puerto Mardones ahead of docking in San Atonio this coming Sunday (November 5) before continuing its journey to the UK where it will be used by Porsche.

Porsche plans to use the carbon-neutral fuel, made up of green hydrogen and recycled carbon dioxide (CO2), in its Experience Centre and the Porsche Super Cup racing series, after it received the first test batch of the fuel in March (2023).
