Countrywide Hydrogen will secure AUD $8m ($5.3m) once it completes delivery of Tasmanian-produced green hydrogen.
With initial projects planned for locations near Devonport and Hobart, Countrywide Hydrogen expects to begin hydrogen production at both sites in 2026. The ‘Hydrogen HyWay#1’ aims to be Australia’s “first” end-to-end hydrogen transport ecosystem.
Once distributed, the company will receive funding via the Tasmanian Government’s Green Hydrogen Price Reduction Scheme (GHPRS).
