Cummins reveals fourth-generation hydrogen fuel cell engine for trucks

Cummins has unveiled its fourth-generation hydrogen fuel cell engine at the IAA Transportation show in Hanover, Germany.

Designed to meet the duty-cycle performances and packaging requirements of medium- and heavy-duty truck and buses, H2 View understands the technology is available in 15kW single and 270kW dual modules.

The company has said that Scania in Europe and Daimler Trucks North America will collaborate with Cummins to develop and integrate the fuel cell systems into demonstrator vehicles.
