Destinus receives €12m investment to accelerate hydrogen-powered supersonic flight

Destinus has been awarded an overall investment of €12m ($14.7m) from the Spanish Government to further R&D for supersonic flight powered by hydrogen.

The grant is expected to fund the construction of a test facility near Madrid for air-breathing hydrogen engines in which Destinus will help design through further testing.

A second grant will fund research into liquid hydrogen-powered propulsion with a view to testing innovative propulsion system solutions for future supersonic hydrogen-powered aircraft.
