Development on H2Resuce fuel cell truck

The US Department of Energy (DOE) has partnered with the Department of Defences (DoD) to support an opportunity to address disaster mitigation through the H2Rescue fuel cell/battery hybrid truck.

DOE and US Army collaborate on hydrogen-powered emergency relief

First responders and the military can use the vehicle to drive to disaster mitigation sites. The truck has the capabilities to provide significant hydrogen to provide power, heat and even water for up to 72 hours.

The demonstration will help to identify hydrogen, fuel cell and battery R&D gaps to ensure the technology provides additional value to the emergency management field.
