Dominion Energy Utah starts hydrogen blending in Utah pipelines

Dominion Energy Utah (DEU) has begun hydrogen blending in Delta, Utah, pipelines as part of the ThermH2 project.

The project gas entered its first phase which is focused on blending hydrogen in the utility’s Training Academy to confirm available hydrogen.

A 5% hydrogen blend was tested for a year before the project entered its next phase, with DEU stating it found hydrogen was safe, compatible with current residential appliances and helpful in reducing emissions from clean gas-powered appliances.
