Doosan Mobility Innovation to develop hydrogen-powered firefighting robots

Doosan Mobility Innovation (DMI) and Chinese robot maker CITIC HIC Kaicheng Intelligence Equipment Co. have inked a deal to develop hydrogen-fuelled firefighting robots.

Announcing the news today (9th Feb), the two companies said a prototype of the fuel cell-powered robot is expected in the first half of 2021, with mass production expected within the year.

The robots will monitor and control fire scenes at general industrial sites.
