Egypt will gain a significant boost to its hydrogen ecosystem with Plug Power being selected by Scatec and its partners to provide an electrolyser for a 100MW green hydrogen facility – the largest in the world once online Scatec said.
Unveiled today (Nov 24), the Egyptian green hydrogen production project will be developed by Scatec, OCI NV Fertiglobe, The Sovereign Fund of Egypt, and Orascom and will be built at the Egyptian Basic Industries Corporation SAE (EBIC) facility.
The hydrogen produced will be converted into green ammonia.
