EKPO’s fuel cells to power cruise ship under new contract

EKPO Fuel Cell Technologies has secured a contract with an unnamed “international cruise company” for the supply of fuel cell stacks for a cruise ship.

Covering the supply of EKPO’s NM12 single fuel cell stacks, the agreement’s initial volume will be within the single-digit million-euro range, with the first delivery of stacks already having taken place this year (2023).

The NM12 single stacks are set to be used for the cruise ship’s propulsion, which EKPO hopes will illustrate the suitability of its fuel cell technology for the maritime sector.
