Electriq Global receives €1.1m investment to support its novel hydrogen transport technology

Electriq Global has been awarded a €1.1m ($1.15m) grant from the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) to advance its hydrogen powder manufacturing plant project.

The plant, expected to begin operations in 2026, will produce the solid hydrogen carrier dubbed electriq powder, a ‘first-of-its-kind’, innovative means of hydrogen transport.

The plant is set to be built on Zenith Energy Terminals’ grounds at the Port of Amsterdam and powered by Zenith Renewable Energy, after the two companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding in February (2023).
