Electro-Active Technologies’ pilot waste-to-hydrogen project receives $1m funding from the DOE

A collaborative project between Southern Company Gas, Electro-Active Technologies and T2M Global, aiming to advance a new food waste-to-hydrogen technology, is set to receive $1m funding from the US Department of Energy (DOE).

The project is looking to optimise the distributed generation of hydrogen from food waste to reduce the amount of pollution produced from landfills.

This will also minimise greenhouse gas emissions from the food value chain and the transportation sector.
