Enapter delivers 30 AEM electrolysers to Toyko hydrogen refuelling station

Germany’s Enapter has delivered 30 AEM EL 2.1 electrolysers and 15 dryers to Tokyo Gas for a hydrogen refuelling station in Japan’s capital.

Coming as the “first” commercial hydrogen refuelling station using AEM electrolysers in Asia, Enapter’s technology, with a total installed capacity of 72kW, is being used to produce 30kg of hydrogen per day on site for the refuelling of vehicles.

The electrolyser are available as 8-bar pressure in Japan to comply with the local thresholds as set by the High Gas Pressure Safety Act, with Enapter’s DRY 2.1 dryers allowing fuel cell purity to be reached.
