Enel and Eni to develop green hydrogen projects

Enel and Eni have joined forces to develop two green hydrogen projects.

The companies today (2^nd Dec) announced the collaboration through which they will produce green hydrogen with 10MW electrolysers powered by renewable energy.

Located near two Eni refineries, it’s hoped the two pilots will start to produce green hydrogen by 2022-2023.

Commenting on the partnership, Francesco Starace, CEO and General Manager of Enel Group, said, “We are interested in exploring with Eni the promising green hydrogen sector. Together, we identified a couple of sites where we can start with the first projects.”
