Envision Energy awarded 1.67GW wind turbine contact for NEOM Green Hydrogen Company

Air Products has awarded a contract for 1.67GW of wind turbines for NEOM Green Hydrogen Company (NGHC) to Envision Energy.

The contract will see 171 6.5MW wind turbines installed at the NEOM project in Oxagon, Saudi Arabia, as part of the mega-project’s plans to produce up to 600 tonnes of “carbon-free” hydrogen by the end of 2026.

NEOM aims to produce hydrogen using solely renewable energy sources including wind and solar. The project is expected to form a critical part in the promotion of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 Mission of reducing carbon emissions while simultaneously encouraging economic growth and job creation.
