ESB and Shannon Airport partner to explore green hydrogen potential in Ireland

Shannon Airport in Ireland could see the development of a green hydrogen plant to demonstrate the use of the clean energy carrier in aviation, heavy goods transport, and industry following a new agreement.

ESB and The Shannon Airport Group today (November 22) revealed they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore the development of a “hydrogen lighthouse project.”

H2 View understands the two organisations will work on concept developments as part f the project, including high-level design, site identification, considerations of safety, the environment and planning, and local engagement.
