County Cork, Ireland could soon feature large-scale storage for green hydrogen.
ESB and dCarbonX on Thursday (August 12) launched the Green Hydrogen @ Kinsale project for the development which could store up to three TWh of green hydrogen as well as hydrogen carriers.
A proprietary evaluation of the depleted gas field reservoir took place earlier this year to identify the potential for large-scale storage of green hydrogen.
