Ethical Power commissions solar farm to power Dorset Green H2 project

Ethical Power has commissioned the 5MW Whites Pit solar farm in Wimborne for Canford Renewable Energy which will feed into a green hydrogen electrolyser as part of the Dorset Green H2 project.

The Poole project is the first green hydrogen project for Canford Renewable Energy, operator and developer of energy infrastructure across the UK South West including renewables and gas power stations. It is targeting up to 120,000kg annualised green hydrogen production from October.

Ethical Power was the EPC contractor for the Whites Pit solar park built on now closed former landfill owned by Canford Renewable Energy, which has received £6.5m funding to progress green hydrogen production.

The scope of works by Ethical Power Group companies also included development consultancy and due diligence, civils and reinstatement works and technical due diligence throughout the construction phase.
