First Hydrogen renews partnership to develop bespoke hydrogen-powered vehicle fleet

It has been revealed today (May 19) that the strategic partnership between First Hydrogen Automotive and FEV group has been extended to develop First Hydrogen’s fleet of bespoke hydrogen fuel cell-powered light commercial vehicles (LCV).

H2 View understands, that FEV will advise on the vehicle design, specifically, software led functionality, including advanced driver assistance system and autonomous driving systems, electrics and electronic architecture, as well as assessing concept hardware options.  

 The automotive and energy company have also said, it plans to contribute to UK government targets to double hydrogen production by 2030, with four vehicle production sites, with refuelling stations, with capacity between 80MW and 160MW at each. 

First Hydrogen announced the start of testing for its first fuel cell powered van, using a MAN eTGE body, earlier this week.
