Floating hydrogen station plans unveiled for Norway
Norway will this summer be home to what is said to be the first floating hydrogen station for leisure boats.
Under development as part of a joint venture set up by Hynion and Hyrex last year, the pilot station is set to refuel the Hyrex 28 prototype, a cruiser boat comprised of a 20kWh battery pack and 300kWg hydrogen range extender.
Featuring an electrolyser, a hydrogen compressor and a dispenser, the station sets the stage for what can be achieved for the zero-emissions marine industry and supports Norway’s net-zero targets.
