Gasunie selected as offshore hydrogen network operator

Gasunie has been confirmed as the intended network operator for the future North Sea hydrogen network.

In a letter to the Dutch House of Representatives from the Minister for Climate and Energy Policy, Rob Jetten stressed the importance of designating an intended operator for the offshore network.

Gasunie will now set the wheels in motion in creating a hydrogen network, to both reassure the market that infrastructure will be available and achieve climate goals, energy independence and improve the Netherland’s position in the industry.
