Gaznat inaugurates hydrogen and CO2 to syngas project in Switzerland

Swiss natural gas transport Gaznat on August 30, 2023, inaugurated a Power-to-Gas project in Aigle, Switzerland, utilising a Green Hydrogen Systems electrolyser.

Featuring over 1,200 solar panels, the GreenGas project at Gaznat’s innovation lab produce 500MWh of renewable electricity annually, which powers the Green Hydrogen Systems 0.5MW A-Series electrolyser to produce green hydrogen.

The hydrogen is then combined with carbon dioxide (CO2) captured from industrial sites across Switzerland, which is injected into a methanation reactor to produce syngas.
