Gentari and AM Green agree to produce green ammonia in India

Gentari and AM Green have agreed to produce five million tonnes per year of green ammonia by 2030 in collaboration with a GIC affiliate.

The green ammonia produced will be the equivalent of around one million tonnes per annum of hydrogen and is expected to be exported to key OECD markets such as Germany, Japan, South Korea and Singapore by 2025.

The two companies will focus on the production of ammonia in multiple locations across India in order to achieve Net Zero targets, and the targeted production is anticipated to represent a fifth of India’s target for green hydrogen under its National Green Hydrogen Mission.
