German-Norwegian collaboration to explore large-scale hydrogen transportation to displace Russian fossil fuel and gas reliance

Europe continues to explore opportunities to transition away from Russian fossil fuel and gas reliance with Germany and Norway to study the feasibility of transporting hydrogen via a pipeline between the two countries.

The European Commission has already identified hydrogen as a means to destabilise the EU’s reliance on fossil fuels and gas from Russia and thus this cooperation between the two countries could greatly enhance the hydrogen economy.
